3

Are there any origination fees, discount points, or lender credits?

4

Guidance
Finding the Right Lender for Your Situation

First-Time Buyers

Look for lenders experienced with TSAHC, TDHCA, and SETH programs. These programs can provide down-payment assistance, but eligibility and terms vary.

Veterans and Military

Look for lenders experienced with VA loans and Texas VLB. VA loans offer competitive rates and no down payment, but property and appraisal requirements differ from conventional loans.

Acreage and Rural Buyers

Look for lenders familiar with rural and agricultural properties. USDA loans may be available for eligible areas, and conventional lenders may have specific requirements for acreage.

Custom Home Builders

Look for lenders experienced with construction-to-permanent loans and builder draw schedules.
